Cardinal Crabapple is a flowering tree of the Rosaceae family. It has an upright, spreading canopy of dark, glossy, purplish-red foliage. Before the foliage appears, the trees show beautiful color, as they produce purple buds that swell and burst into showy red flowers and looks outstanding. These crabapple trees produce a deep red, 2-inch edible fruit.
