Green Vase Zelkova is a native tree to Japan, Korea, and China.This tree is ideal for residential shade and street plantings. It has a spreading, generally upright branching, vase-shaped habit. The bark is a smooth, reddish brown when young with prominent cherry-like lenticels. As the tree ages, the outer bark is gray-brown and often exfoliating exposing an orangish inner bark.As the cooler weather approaches in autumn, you'll enjoy the luster of bronze, yellow and red tones. The smooth gray bark itself is quite ornamental, with long lenticels that look like Cherry and begin to exfoliate as the tree matures.
