Green Vase Zelkova


Green Vase Zelkova is a native tree to Japan, Korea, and China.This tree is ideal for residential shade and street plantings. It has a spreading, generally upright branching, vase-shaped habit. The bark is a smooth, reddish brown when young with prominent cherry-like lenticels. As the tree ages, the outer bark is gray-brown and often exfoliating exposing an orangish inner bark.As the cooler weather approaches in autumn, you'll enjoy the luster of bronze, yellow and red tones. Green Vase Zelkova adds to the beauty of the season. Even in wintertime, you'll enjoy these deciduous trees. The smooth gray bark itself is quite ornamental, with long lenticels that look like Cherry and begin to exfoliate as the tree matures.

Mature Size: The Zelkova grows to a height of 50–80 feet at maturity.
Soil Preference: This tree grows in a wide range of soil textures, acidic to slightly alkaline, moist to dry.
